  1. ALL IN ALL NOT A BAD MP3 PLAYER 4 Star Review

Posted by on 13th Mar 2013

The Mini Metal MP3 Player works for me. This device does NOT come with any instructions at all. I opened the envelop and there it was. The USB cable, ear buds and the MP3 Player. But because of past understanding of portable devices, I deduced that I needed to charge it first. I plugged it into a HIGH SPEED USB port and it flashed and stopped. Then I noticed that the cable was not all the way in. A must for proper charging. Still my Vista system did not recognize the device. I pluged it into the slower speed USB port and it loaded the software and started charging. All charged, I loaded MP3s. Took a while on the slower speed USB port, but I got it done. Plugged in the ear buds and felt disappointed. When using the ear buds provided, the sound leaves a lot to be desired.

THINGS THAT I HAVE LEARNED: 1. The USB cable must be pushed all the way in for it to charge or transfer files. 2. It works in the LOWER SPEED USB port. 3. The sound quality is EXCELLENT when using high quality head phones or a very good pair of stereo ear buds. Ones with volume controls will give full stereo effects. 4. You can not insert head phones or ear bud plug while the USB cable is plugged in. 5. You should turn the unit OFF when recharging. 6. For Windows 7 or Vista users, it is easier and much faster to move files to the Micro SD card using an adapter and not using the USB cable supplied. Then simply insert the Micro SD into the player, and It works.. 7. The MP3's will be played in alpha-numeric order, there is no shuffle function. But the forward and backward works very well. The volume control, which was a surprise, does work well. 8. There is no screen and no title display, it simply plays MP3s. 9. The player is light weight, which makes it easy to carry around. 10. I like that I can load different type music on different Micro SD cards and load the type of music that I am in the mood for. It does not have folders just a down list of file names. But that's ok with me.

SO: All in all, for it's price, I am pleased with the little fella.
I recommend it for joggers, walkers, or people who want to listen to music and not disturb the rest of the world. Hope this helps.
